Hi, I’m Marie McCullers

MSN, ARNP, PMHNP-BC

As a psychiatric‑mental health nurse practitioner, I’m committed to helping you feel understood, supported, and empowered during difficult times.

With over a decade in behavioral health, trauma work, substance use treatment, and high‑stress medical environments, I’ve seen how life‑changing it is when someone finally feels heard and receives care that truly fits their needs.

I’m passionate about working with clients facing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, and major life transitions. Many come in feeling overwhelmed or stuck; others are high‑functioning but carrying too much alone. I especially value supporting individuals who have felt misunderstood in past treatment settings, including military personnel, first responders, and people with complex trauma.

My role is to help you make sense of what you’re experiencing and build practical, evidence‑based strategies that support real progress. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapeutic interventions grounded in evidence‑based practice. My style is collaborative, compassionate, and straightforward — I listen closely, explain clearly, and work with you as a partner in your care.

My Approach

Compassionate

A steady, compassionate space to slow down, breathe, and move toward healing at a pace that feels right for you.

Collaborative

Together, we work to understand what you’re experiencing, clarify what matters most, and create a plan that feels realistic and meaningful.

Straightforward

I listen closely and explain clearly, offering practical strategies that help you feel more grounded, capable, and empowered.

I Believe…

  1. People heal fastest when they feel genuinely seen, not judged or rushed.

  2. Most “symptoms” are survival strategies that work until they don’t.

  3. Clarity is medicine.

  4. Trauma changes people, but compassion changes them back.

  5. High‑functioning people deserve support too — carrying everything alone isn’t strength, it’s exhaustion.

  6. People aren’t “difficult”; they’re protecting something tender.

  7. Healing isn’t linear — it’s loops, pauses, breakthroughs, and quiet shifts.

  8. Military and first‑responder communities deserve trauma‑informed care that honors their lived experience.

  9. Medication can be life‑changing when used thoughtfully and collaboratively.

  10. People can rebuild their lives at any age, any stage, any chapter.

  11. You don’t have to be falling apart to deserve help. Healing happens in safe relationships — not in isolation.

  12. People are far more resilient than they realize.

  13. Small changes create big shifts. Everyone deserves a place where they can breathe.
